sensiBel awarded startup of the year at MEMS World Summit

The MEMS World Summit members recognize sensiBel’s breakthrough innovation enabling true studio-quality microphone performance in a small MEMS package using optical technology.

The MEMS World Summit EU 2024 held on June 27-28 in Porto Portugal, brought together top-level industry leaders, innovators, and experts in the MEMS and sensor technology fields. The event featured a series of insightful keynote sessions and panel discussions covering topics such as the role of MEMS in AR/VR, generative AI in MEMS microphones, advanced packaging for automotive MEMS, and the integration of sensors in modern vehicles. Attendees had the opportunity to network with peers, share ideas, and explore the latest advancements in MEMS technology. The summit highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving the future of MEMS and sensor technologies.

The MEMS World Summit advisory committee nominated sensiBel to the startup of the year award and to our delight the members voted sensiBel to receive the prestigious award amongst respected competition. sensiBel is honored to receive this recognition from our industry peers. This recognition is a testament to the breakthrough innovation of our patented optical MEMS microphone, and the dedication and hard work of the team making this a reality.

sensiBel’s patented optical MEMS microphone enables a generational shift in miniature microphone performance.  The 80 dBA SNR (14 dBA noise floor), 132 dB dynamic range, 24-bit digital output and with low power consumption performance is the long-awaited solution to electroacoustic challenges in high-performance audio and sound acquisition applications. These applications include enterprise video conferencing systems, 3D spatial audio capture, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) headphones, high-end smartphones and many more. The microphone is now sampling with lead customers.
